NO – means *no*. The pen scanner will not connect and/or does not support scanning to the host.

YES – means that the pen scanner referred to supports capture and transfer text to the host. Exactly what functions that are supported are subject to which app the host uses.

No app – some pens are capable of scanning text to the host without installing any app. In these cases the pen equals a keyboard. Whatever is typed/scanned shows up at text cursor location, whether that is in a web browser (e.g. Google Doc) or a local app like Word or Excel.

Desktop app – as opposed to web apps, desktop apps are software that are installed and run locally on your computer. In our case this means to C-Pen Core, which is the software that allows the C-Pen device to connect to the computer. For more information read below.

Google Play – obviously refers to Google’s service for hosting apps for Android. See below for more information about our Android compliant apps.

App store – is Apple’s equivalent to Googe Play and hosts apps for e.g. iPhone and iPad. See below for more information about our iOS/iPADOS compliant apps.

Stand-alone – means that the specific C-Pen model works by itself (power, content, user interface, etc are embedded) and does not need to be connected to any host.

USB OTG – enables the “HOST” to act as both USB Host and USB slave. Read HERE for more information.
