Host Bluetooth Status = Inactive are caused by two things.

  1. The PC has no Bluetooth device at all.
  2. The Bluetooth device in the PC uses drivers that are neither Microsoft nor Widcomm.


The solution is to replace these drivers with Microsoft or Widcomm drivers. This may be done in various ways but the easiest we know of is described on this web page: http://bluetoothinstaller.com/
